We bring our training to your home because in classes we cannot present life's real situations. Dogs need real life training. We'll teach you how to handle your dog in life's everyday spontaneous situations. Greet company properly, Go for enjoyable walks, Lay quietly by as you eat, Stay off countertops. Do the all important "Come When Called." We'll also work out any particular problem you are having and train any additional skill you may require.

We'll train in the home, around the neighborhood, at a local park or dog run. This is the training exposure your dog needs but cannot be found in a class situation.

Good training consists of a great deal more than just teaching commands, because it takes more than that to have a well-trained dog. That's why we teach you what to do, how to do, when to do and why you're doing along with the commands. In this manner you learn how to control and lead your dog through the trials and tribulations of real life. You get proper responses to commands, no bribes or punishment required. This happens because our training stresses understanding and leadership. We believe this well rounded approach is another reason SJMagazine named us #1.

How Our Training Works

We believe you really like and want to enjoy your dog. We also know you have a busy schedule. Our training methods and experience make the training effective and enjoyable for you and your dog. It's also quicker than you may expect. We do this using the same time-tested and effective methods that have produced some of the best trained dogs in the country. Our own dogs are rated in this category. This is what separates us from many others in this area that offer training services, "proven results at the highest levels of training." The methods we use properly start a new dog as well as effectively correct problems in an older or previously not so well-trained dog.

We use true Motivational Methods. Proper Motivational Training is based upon the dog understanding what is wanted, it's a teaching process that develops "leadership" through "understanding". We find what best motivates your dog and what training technique best suits his temperament. Because the dog truly understands what's wanted training progresses very quickly.

With our training, as your dog learns you the owner becomes the motivator -- your dog responds to you. A well-trained dog reliably responds to verbal commands, even when distractions are present. Training a dog to properly respond in life's real situations is what our training is all about.
